Boutsinas Basilis

Basilis Boutsinas received his diploma in “Computer Engineering & Informatics” in 1991 from the University of Patras, Greece. He also conducted studies in “Electronics Engineering” at the Technical Education Institute of Piraeus, Greece, and Pedagogics at Pedagogical Academy of Lamia, Greece. He received his Ph.D. on Knowledge Representation from the University of Patras in 1997. He is a professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Patras since 2001. His primary research interests include data mining, business intelligence, knowledge representation and parallel Artificial Intelligence. He is the author or co-author of more than 60 research papers published in scientific international journals or conference proceedings. He is also the author of two books. There are about 350 citations to his work (Publish or Perish). It is worth noting that among the people that refer to his work are some of the best scientists in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He has been a member of various scientific committees in international lournals/conferences/workshops. He managed various research projects in the University of Patras. He was consultant in various organizations.
